Making Effective Marketing Video

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a well-made video can be worth so much more. That is why video is the obvious go to in most marketing efforts.

Here are a few tips to help you develop a strong high quality brand that can entice your visitors to do business with you in your hometown or from across the world.

From big to small players, everybody today markets products through the use of videos on social platforms. However, this does not mean everybody receives the same benefits from them. Like everything else, video marketing must be done well to generate a positive response. Here are a few things to consider to make a marketing video that your audience will love to watch and more importantly respond to.

Know your audience, know their needs

You are making a video for your audience, right? Then why not engage them with a video that directly addresses their needs. After all, if you convincingly tell your audience that you can give them what they need, they will more often than not choose you over your competitors.

To be able to do this, however, you must be tuned in to their needs. Conduct surveys, one-on-one interviews, or online polls to find out what is most important to them so you will understand your customer needs and address them aptly in your videos.

Make video that engages

You may know your audience’s needs and have a perfect solution but are likely to fail to impress them if your video is dull. So ensure that your marketing video has a strong story-line, one that will allow viewers to connect with instantly.

Link the video to your website

A video is for engaging viewers, while a website is for making sales. So why not urge your viewers to visit your website to learn more about your products or services and urge them to purchase them?

To generate an impressive return from your video marketing efforts, it is absolutely imperative that you integrate your video with your website. It can be a highly effective one two punch to show an enticing video that effectively shares the benefits to the viewer you over and while it is still fresh in their mind, direct them to your website for more information or to complete the sale. Don’t be bashful to ask for the sale early and often.

One video, One message

When it comes to video marketing, remember that less is more. Ward off the temptation to say more to your customers; instead restrict the video to one message only. This strategy has three distinct advantages:

  • Ensures the video content is concise yet effective
  • Allows you to convey the most important message with ease
  • Most importantly, improves the probability that your core message is well delivered and registers well in the minds of your viewers.

Simple message

Your video must convey a simple message, and be creative to deliver this message visually and not just said in words. In other words, show your audience the benefits you offer rather than just telling them.

Well produced video

Last but not least, the video must be a delight to watch. For this to happen, it should have a clear storyline with an effective message. The video should have visual appeal with audio that enhances and doesn’t detract from the overall message.

If you follow these tips, you should dramatically improve your marketing videos. So what are you waiting for?

Educate, dazzle, impress, and engage your viewers with a marketing video that leaves no doubt that your products and services are worth their time and money.
